The Nevada Governor’s Office of Energy (GOE), under the leadership of Director Dwayne McClinton, has released its 2023–2026 Executive Summary highlighting major progress in grid resilience, energy affordability, workforce development, and federal investment.

“I couldn’t be more thankful to have such an amazing team who works daily to ensure all Nevadans have access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy choices.” said Director McClinton.

Between 2023 and 2026, GOE secured $131.4 million in federal funding, with additional funds pending, to strengthen Nevada’s energy infrastructure and expand consumer savings programs.

Key accomplishments include:

  • $17.9 million awarded for grid resilience and energy security

  • $93.6+ million secured for HOMES and HEAR rebate programs to reduce home energy costs

  • Launch of Energy Efficiency Revolving Loan Fund (EERLF) and Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) programs across 13 counties

  • $7 million+ invested in workforce development and contractor training

  • Adoption of updated building energy codes to drive long-term savings

GOE also completed Nevada’s State Energy Security Plan risk assessment and strengthened regional transmission coordination efforts to enhance grid reliability amid growing electricity demand.

Director McClinton was appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Energy Officials and nominated Chair of the Nevada Clean Energy Fund (2024–2026), reinforcing Nevada’s national leadership in energy policy and resilience.

The Executive Summary reflects GOE’s continued commitment to reliable, affordable, and resilient energy for all Nevadans.
