Director Dwayne McClinton Nominated as Officer for WIEB and WINB

[Carson City, Nevada] The Nevada Governor’s Office of Energy is proud to announce the nomination of Director Dwayne McClinton to serve as Second Vice-Chair of the Western Interstate Energy Board (WIEB) and First Vice-Chair of the Western Interstate Nuclear Board (WINB).

These nominations reflect Director McClinton’s strong leadership and longstanding dedication to advancing energy policy, system reliability, and regional cooperation across the Western Interconnection. With deep experience in both conventional and emerging energy issues, Director McClinton is well-positioned to contribute meaningfully to both officer roles.

“I am honored for the opportunity to serve as officers on these impactful boards and look forward to working with my fellow officers and board members,” said Director McClinton.

These nominations underscore Director McClinton’s growing influence in regional energy policy and his commitment to serving the public interest through collaborative leadership.

About WIEB:
The Western Interstate Energy Board is composed of representatives from 11 states, two Canadian provinces, and the Mexican state of Baja California. The purpose of the Board is to provide for cooperative state efforts to “enhance the economy of the West and contribute to the well-being of the region’s people.” (Western Interstate Energy Board, n.d.)

The Western Interstate Nuclear Board is an affiliate of WIEB and focuses on the policy and regulatory aspects of nuclear energy, including safety and emergency response coordination.
